Shadow dog has set a record in Australia after giving birth to a litter of 21 puppies❤
Shadow gave birth to three puppies at home, but after the next four hours of inactivity and then one puppy sadly did not survive, Shadow’s owner took her to Animal Emergency Services in Underwood.
Here the doctor took an X-ray to see if she had any more children inside, and the doctor started emergency care as soon as he learned that Shadow still had more than ten puppies in her belly.
Shadow had a lot of blood inside and her blood pressure dropped, so the vet decided to perform a life-saving oophorectomy (removal of the reproductive organs).
10 vets and nurses worked together to get 18 other puppies out of Shadow, bringing her total litter to a whopping 21 puppies (18 of which lived omission)
While Shadow slowly recovered from surgery, ICU nurses spent the day caring for the 18 puppies, taking turns and taking turns feeding from their mothers.
Currently Shadow is doing well and is now resting at home with his new born children.❤
While Shadow has broken the record for the largest litter in Australia, she is one of only four dogs who have failed to beat the world record, held by a dog named Neapolitan Mastiff, who gave birth to 24 puppies. puppies in 2004.
